FAQ
Q: How long are private lessons?
Private lessons are either 30 or 45 minutes. Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled class. And remember, if you need to reschedule your private lesson, please let us know 24 hours prior to your class time to avoid being charged for your lesson.
Q: When are group classes?
Group classes are 1 hour, Monday through Friday. Group Classes are the best way to experience the social aspect of Ballroom dancing.
Q: Do I need experience?
No. Our group classes are divided into Beginner, Intermediate, and Intermediate/Advanced. The Beginner and Intermediate class will help you develop the social skills of ballroom and will introduce you to the basic learning patterns of various dances. The Intermediate/Advanced class moves at a faster pace,
focusing on specific steps and technique. If you are a first time student we highly recommend taking group classes alongside of private lessons. It is a great introduction to the world of dance featuring a variety of dances taught at a slower pace. If you really want to heat things up, join us EVERY WEDNESDAY night for our Salsa Group Class. It’s one of our most popular group classes!
Q: But what if I want to dance with a group of friends?
In addition to our group classes, Dance It Studios offers Dance Socials every other month to highlight a special theme. These 2 hour dance sessions are available for you to polish your dancing skills and build your confidence.
Q: What do I wear?
Any type of clothing that allows you to move freely and that is comfortable. Shoes for the Ladies should be either closed toes or sandals with straps around the ankle (if you do not have dance shoes). Appropriate shoes for Men are dress shoes without rubber soles. We are very fortunate to have The Dancer’s Boutique at our location that can provide you with all of your dancing needs such as shoes and dancewear. Please call Kia at 407.242.2425
